    By Flight:

 If you don't want to waste your time in traveling and don't have any issue of price then you can select this option to reach in Shimla from Pune. There is no any direct plane for your destination so you can book your ticket from 

  1. Pune to Delhi via plane is 1172 km long and required duration 1 hr & 55 min to travel.

  2. Delhi to Chandighar via plane is 238 km long and the required duration is 45 min to travel.

  3. Chandigarh to Shimla via bus or taxi is 56 km long and the required duration is 3 hrs & 23 min.

  

  By Train or Bus:

You can select any nearest railway station in Pune such as khadki, Shivajinagar, Pimpri, Hadapsar, Pune Junction, etc.

Pune to Delhi and then Delhi to Shimla, total duration is 32 hrs 33 min required. Another way is you can go to Delhi by train from Pune and from Delhi you can get buses direct to Shimla.

Attraction of Shimla:

                   The Ridge, Mall Road, Kufri, Shimla Christ Church, Jakhoo temple, and the best thing is the mountain. if you did not visit these places then you miss the best places in Shimla.

1. Mall Road: Another name of mall road is a shopping center, where we can perches from small things to big things such as showroom, restaurant, cafe, hand made woolen shawl and cloths, branded cloths, jewelry, shoes, etc.
   
2. Kufri: It is a small hill station and it is 20 km away from Shimla city. the word Kufri comes from local language kufr means leak. Kufri has a wildlife zoo in which rare animals and birds are included such as Himalayan Monal which the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. 
   
3. Shimla Christ Church: It is the second oldest church in North India. Church contains stain windows and it present on the ridge. Its color is light yellow and at night it looks so beautiful.
   
4. Jakhoo Temple: It is an ancient god Hanuman temple, which is 2455 m above sea level, so there are so many monkeys and you have to protect your camera, mobile, and bags. It is situated in jakhoo hill which is the tallest hill in Shimla. There is a statue of Lord Hanuman which is 108 feet tall. There are two ways to reach the temple first is you can climb the hill near christ church and another is ropeway. You can take a ticket for ropeway and reach in the temple. According to Ramayan myth lord Hanuman was stay here when he search sanjivani booti for Lakshman.
   

How to travel Manali from Shimla:

                  Manali is 265 km away from Shimla by road, and the cheapest way to reach Manali is by transport bus which is direct from Shimla to Manali and it takes 6 hours to reach Manali

                    

Attraction of Manali:  

               Solang valley, Rohtang Pass, Hadimba Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, Vashisht hot water springs, Jogini falls, Kothi, Arjun gufa, Chandrakhani pass, etc.

1. Solang valley: It is 14 km (34km) away from Manali, with winding road. It is so beautiful place just like haven and there is one shiv temple. Adventures sports are like paragliding, zorbing, etc.
   
2. Rohtang pass: This is one of the beautiful places in Manali. It is 1300 feet high and people are come here to play with snow. Pass is open from June to October and it is closed in Winter.
   
3. Hadimba Temple: It is a very beautiful temple made up of unique architecture having a pagoda shape. Hadima is the wife of Bhim (who is the son of Pandu) and the mother of Ghatotkach.
   
4. Tibetan Monasteries: Look of this is beautiful and here the Tibetan art and craft object are preserved.
   
5. Vashisht hot water springs: It is famous for natural hot water spring. There is a separate bath for men and women. Peoples take a bath to relax their body.
   
6. Jogini falls: It is 7.5 km away from Manali and it is near to Vashisht hot water spring.
   
7. Kothi: It is a beautiful village which is 16 km away from Manali and on the way to Solang valley. In winter you can enjoy snowfall and in summer you can enjoy the greenery and natural beauty.
8. Arjun Gufa: There is one temple of Arjun( Pandavas son from Mahabharat) and one gufa where Arjun has meditated for Pashupati Astra from Lord Indra.
9. Chandrakhani pass: If you love to trekking then this is perfect place. you can start trekking from Manali. When you visit this place you fall in love with nature and its beauty

You can stay close to Mall Road as there are many cafes, shopping canteens and hotels. But if you want to save money, you can stay in a hospice that is good for accommodation as well as less expensive than a hotel, and most importantly, it is also close to Mall Road.

  According to your choice you can visit to Shimla and Manali. If you want to enjoy or play with snow you can visit in winter and if you want to make outdoor activity then you can go in summer.

• Summer season:

This is the best time to visit Shimla because the weather is pleasant. Most of the visitor come here in this season so they can enjoy a lot and make outdoor activity, and the temperature in this season is 15 to 22 degrees Celsius. You can carry sport shoes and some woolen cloths(It will require at night).

• Monsoon season:        

In this season a lot of rainfall so people did not come to visit Shimla in this season and the rate of hotels is continuously dropdown. The temperature in this season various between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius

• Winter season: 

This is also the perfect time to visit Shimla and Manali because of heavy snowfall. Tourists can enjoy adventure sport such as skating and skiing. The entire landscape turns to white in Winter. The temperature drops down to -2 degrees Celsius. So if you plan to come in winter then you should carry heavy woolen cloths.
